Site History

Simply Rice was opened as a fanlisting by itself on May 8, 2004. Over several months after opening it and installing PHP Fanbase (with the help of Tracy), I kept on thinking of making this into a fanlisting AND shrine. I finally brought that to life in late August 2004 (it was complete on the 23rd of August). I worked hard on content and all that junk. x_x I hadn't owned a shrine since Pan's Castle (ooooooooooh the bad memories...) and so I was kinda like, "WOO HOO!" towards opening this. I was thirteen years old when I first created this site, so trust me, I never expected it to boom as much as it has. XD Anyway, it was originally hosted on my main domain, neko-simba.net, but after buying another domain, daisuke-gohan.com and finding nothing to use it for, I decided to move the site over there. After all, the domain's name IS daisuke-gohan.com. xD This site has had a history of Cell Games saga Gohan layouts..... Hopefully I'll lose that trend.......someday..... xD

Now, I know many of you are saying, "WTF are you trying to say with the domain name?" *sweat drops* I originally meant for it to be daisuki-gohan.com, but I made a typo when entering the name at the time when I bought the domain. Now, I bought the domain late at night and was fairly tired that day and didn't realize my typo until it was too late. Oh joy. At least I have a unique domain name, right? XP

Since 2004, Rice Boy's boomed. Over 500,000 visitors have visited the site (which still shocks the hell out of me) there's now over 350 members, there's a large gallery of screencaps, and I'm working on writing something about every aspect of Son Gohan's being (...I'm a psycho... XD). So, yeah. It's been fun. I still don't know why the site's so popular though. o_O;; I mean, even if it is the fanlisting... Heh. Oh well.

Rice Boy has had...many layouts. *sweat drops* I finally got out of my Cell Games arc layouts, though! Now I have a trend of using Freeza arc-Gohan in the layouts. Please don't tell me that I'm the only one who thinks that the mop top is cute... *crickets chirp* ...Err...at least Chichi agrees with me!
