Updates (Month/Day/Year)
07/10/09: It's two in the morning and I'm wearing a brace on my dominant hand from the carpal tunnel syndrome I've been developing since I started web design eight years ago, but alas, I am dedicated enough to post this update. When inspiration hits, it hits. What can I say?
First off, we have a new affiliate, Boxer & Rice, a Gohan x Trunks website. If you like them as a yaoi pairing, be sure to visit. Boxer & Rice is one of the best DBZ sites in existance.
Secondly, if you haven't already heard (since apparently the news is getting to me way late), Geocities will be closing in October. This kills me. It really does. My second website was hosted on Geocities. I've been visiting Geocities websites since I first got a computer and learned to use it. Excluding my own personal reasons for hating seeing it go, there's one thing that will affect us all.
A great deal of the DBZ websites made between 1996 and the early 2000s will be dissapearing. Most of the webmasters of those websites are nowhere in sight and might not even know about Geocities demise.
Before You Could Dream is a huge Gohan website that was active in the early 2000s. It hosts tons of Gohan fanfictions. One fanfiction on there, What You Wouldn't Expect by Gohan's Onna, is seventy-seven chapters long. I'm going to try and save all of those fanfictions on there because I know that some of them are ONLY hosted on there. This will be an undertaking. Before You Could Dream is what I consider an "internet-historical Gohan website." XD It can't just disappear! I was OBSESSED with that website long before Rice Boy came to be. I emailed Poppy (the owner of BYCD) via her email address she listed on the website, but I don't even know if she still uses it anymore. It may not reach her. I think I'm the only person that's insane enough to keep an email address for nine years.
There are other websites out there that I just haven't found yet. It's been a long time since I visited them. If you guys know of any Geocities-hosted Dragonball Z websites (NOT JUST GOHAN!) that you consider something epic that shouldn't dissapear, drop me a line. Comment on this post, email me, whatever. Just let me know. I'm going to try to round up all the files I can and put them on this domain. If you can save the website's files yourself, go ahead and send them to me. All of the archived websites will be hosted on my domain. You can find them on the RIP Geocities page.
Also, for anyone who currently owns a DBZ website hosted on Geocities, I would be willing to host you on this domain. Comment here or email me and we can discuss it further.
We only have until October!!
...And please excuse any spelling or grammar errors in this post. I've had five hours of sleep three days in a row and have been working long, long hours this week. I'm dead tired.

MINIATURE UPDATE ON 05/18/09: Just wanted to let y'all know that I haven't forgotten Rice Boy's birthday. I wanted to make a huge post on RB's birthday, but ended up stuck in bed all day with a 103 degree Fahrenheit fever. No fun. I'm still not 100%, so I don't feel like making a huge update to the site today. There will be something big. It's just been postponed a bit. You know me and schedules.
|
First off, I've updated the Youtube Poop, Webmistress (which was way outdated), and some information sections. I created a Past Layouts page.
I think I know what I'm going to do for Rice Boy's birthday. I'm thinking of holding a contest in the month of May. There will be graphics, art, and fanfiction categories, that way most everyone can participate. I'm still pondering on what the reward will be.
Oh, and I may have something else to add that's similar to Youtube poop. It's so-totally DBZ related and Gohan is involved in it. XD We're doing a group "role-play" project in Japanese that's due before the final. I'm paired with these two guys and we were sitting there talking about our restaurant scene. I asked this one guy what he was going to order to eat, and he was all, "DEATH PIZZA FOR TWO!" The other guy said, "beef for over nine thousand." I of course responded by saying, "WHAT?! NINE THOUSAND?! THERE'S NO WAY THAT COULD BE RIGHT, COULD IIIIIIIT?!" So yeah. Now our waiter is Luke Skywalker and this guy and me are going to be ordering Vegeta juice (you honestly have no idea how many times I've gotten lulz from the food section with things like "YASAI JUSU." I'm like, "NOOO, SAIYA JUSU!") and over nine thousand Kakarots with a side of Gohan. We haven't came up with anything after that, but we think we'll include something about Vegeta getting huge. Sensei will probably think we're crazy.

04/20/09: It's been a while since you've seen me, huh? Hehe.Well, obviously, we have a new layout. I hope you like it. It looks rather simple, but I actually spent quite a bit of time on it. I couldn't make up my mind on what shades of the colors looked best on Gohan's monkey king outfit over there on the right side of the screen. I used all Saiyajin saga manga scans, since Dragonball Kai has me in the Saiyajin-saga-ish mood. Hopefully the layout isn't too hideous. I haven't made a layout in almost a year and I haven't done anything with graphics in six months. My Adobe Photoshop screwed up when I got my new computer with Vista. Euugh. I just now got around to buying Adobe CS4, which is better anyhow. I've been waiting for that "university student" discount since I was just out of elementary school.
I'm in the process of revamping the whole entire site. I already re-did the bio section. I'm going to finish on all of the pages under information first and work my way down. I'm really not happy with most of the pages right now. This will probably be the 9,001th time I will be changing every page on the site. I'm never finding myself happy with it.
I will be updating the screencaps gallery in the near future with Dragonball Kai things. I've been enjoying the series so far, even if it is just an abbreviated version of DBZ.
No, Ask Gohan has not been updated. I lost a lot of questions when I changed computers. I get so many questions emailed to me that I struggle to keep up. I like to be a one-woman army when it comes to managing my sites, but I may end up needing to find someone to help me take questions one of these days. They overwhelm me.
Anyhow, we have two major things to celebrate right now. First off, Rice Boy will be a big FIVE YEARS OLD on May 8th. I'm totally excited about that. Be expecting something...even though I'm not quite sure what right now. I'll do something to celebrate it in the month of May. Five years is a pretty good mile-stone.
Also, I just went and checked my hit counter and guess what? We have OVER NINE MILLION hits! Woah. That's like, totally exceeding nine thousand. That means that Rice Boy has more hits than any of my other sites combined. Did I add that that's nine million since I got a new counter in 2006? That's nine million excluding however many hits I got from 2004-2006. When we get to ten million, I'll do another big celebration of some sort.
So, thank you all for being there for me over the last five years and for visiting this site so darned much! I still don't see what's so special about it myself, but it really does warm my heart to know that so many people visit. I've worked so hard on this site over the years.
Oh, I would also like to point out that The Gohan Fanclub on DeviantArt is having a contest for Gohan's birthday on May 11. My friend MakaiAlexa told me about it. Stop by and have a look at the group! I just recently got involved in DeviantArt and am enjoying all of these groups a lot. Two other groups you should definitely check out are Sweetest Irony and Orange Star Love, if you're fans of Gohan x Videl anyway. You could also be very nice and stop by my page. :)
Expect me to update in the near future. No more going away for a year at a time. I want y'all to pester me if I do dissapear for some reason.
EDIT: Added the affiliates to the side of the page. I have a layout that makes it easy for them to be on every page for once. I deleted a bunch of affiliates for having broken links. I'm not sure if the websites are gone or if they just moved. If you were an affiliate that just has a new URL or someone who'd like to become an affiliate, drop me a line and I'll add you. I'm really lax on my affiliation standards, considering the fact that my current ones have left me up on their sites even when I disappear for months at a time.
I think I may create a section where I'll have as many Dragonball Youtube Poops I've found available for your viewing. Now you know what I spend my free time doing.
EDIT 2: Youtube Poop section created. Random.

Anyway, I've gotten asked twice now if I'm still alive. Apparently people worry about me. Haha. I'm flattered.
So much to say, so much to say. A-kon was in June. It was fun fun. I now have Kyle Herbert's autograph twice. ^^ Once on my DBZ t-shirt (I haven't worn it since June 3, 2005 due to fear of smearing his autograph ^^; ), and once on my 2007 Gohan calendar. I was REALLY lucky to get his autograph. He was late to the signing, and in fact, many Gohan fangirls left when they realized he wasn't up at the table. Lucky me though. He literally showed up right when I got to the table... I mean, SERIOUSLY. I was the first person he signed an autograph for, even though he was sort of ignoring me (he was ranting to some other voice actors about how the convention had scheduled his two events, "You Gotta Have Blue Hair," and his autograph signing right next to each other XD).
MELL's concert was awesome. I wish I'd known that cameras were allowed in there. They've banned cameras all the previous years. o.O
Meh. I doubt you care about what's happened in my life. You're more interested in the site updates. XD I've updated Ask Chibi Gohan and Ask Teen Gohan. I've also updated OODLES of screencaps. I would scan in the Gohan calendar for you, but my scanner is a bit dirty right now. I need to clean it really bad. ^^; I don't want any dust showing up on the pictures.
Be expecting some changes in the site. I plan to revamp about every page. Also, does anyone have any suggestions for some new interactive pages? I feel the site is rather bland.
School is starting again on Wednesday, but don't think that's going to slow down my updates. Not sure if I've stated this before, but I switched over to an online schooling last year. Because I go at my own pace, I can get a lot of my studies done early in the week and have like, three day weekends every week. XD
I hope you all have had a great summer!
EDIT: =x Wow. I seriously stayed up until 6 AM zipping screencaps, uploading them, and answering the Ask Chibi/Teen Gohan questions. I have serious issues. XDDD Anyhow, I found a new counter and put the hits that my domain statistics tell me is true. Judging by the fact that it was 500,000 in like, May of last year, I think there's probably more hits than my counter currently shows, but who cares. It's still a big number and hopefully it'll get bigger, right? XD
In other news, I sent an upgrading request to Surpass Hosting, my host. Because of the fact that I'm no longer going to feel so constricted and cramped (I honestly didn't know if some of the screencaps would upload), you can expect big expansions to the site in the future. I'm also opening up a new site in partnership with my mother for selling her artwork (>o> curse her for not passing that talent down to me). She draws real-life human portraits, pet portraits, anime fanart, you name it. I'll post the link to that when we decide on a domain name. I might even give you guys some money off on pictures if you say you came from Rice Boy. ;)
Eh. Also, I'll be gone from August 23rd to August 29th. I'm going on the Canine Cruise in New York City (two of my dogs will be modeling clothes :D). We're driving all the way up there from Kansas, so...not much online time. If you're one of the lucky people who has my Yahoo Messenger screen name, feel free to mobile IM me while I'm gone. I'll usually always answer it unless I'm driving, of course.
EDIT 2: I don't shut up, do I? XD I just thought I'd mention that since my host suddenly decided to stop letting me cross files over domains on my reseller (o.O which is really weird), I had to re-install Enthusiast on each of my domains where I have fanlistings. It was so simple before, since I just had ONE Enth. control panel. ANyhow, I still haven't gotten the affiliates of the fanlistings on this domain moved over. I'm going to do it today or tomorrow. My brain is a bit too fried to do it at the moment, since I've done nothing but work on this site and CGing a picture of Chii that my mother drew. ^^; I'm afraid I'd mess something up and make it 5448979 times harder for myself.
Oh, and my reseller domain that hosts this domain, Cruel-Summer.ORG has now been upgraded. :D No more worrying that I won't have enough space!

11/23/06: First off, there's a new layout! Woopie! I've actually had this layout done for some time now (...like...a month or more x_x), but it was misbehaving with me. Eventually I ended up having to make each image for both screen resolutions jimongous so that the stripes would appear correctly. They kept jumping around when I tried to do it another way. >_< This is such a simple layout. It's really bugging me, to be honest. I haven't done such a bland layout in...a long, long time. x_x;; If you guys hate it, I'll gladly change it. I just desperatly needed a change from that last layout.Ask Chibi Gohan has been updated with all the questions since May (except for questions that contained content that I didn't see fit for this webpage *sweat drops*) Ask Teen Gohan will be updated sometime later today or tomorrow. :P There were a lot of questions, but Gohan-chan and I tried to answer them thoroughly! x_____x;; I'm NEVER going to let that section go like that again. NEVER! If I do, please slap me. Also, I've officially given up on correcting grammatical errors. I'm going to drive myself crazy if I try to correct them all. Again, I repeat, PLEASE use the best grammar AND TYPING that you can. It makes my life so much easier. My life being easier gets your question answered fast. If I'm not driven crazy, I won't squeeze Gohan-chan to death. Comprende?
I also added some new sprites. Yay!
Screencaps will be updated soon! I PROMISE! It's just that I've got so many to upload... I'd really just like to get them all collected together before I go making zip files. I bought several of the remastered DBZ DVDs from Japan. ^^ The colors are AWESOME on them! Let's dare to compare:
Clickie!
The Funimation version is the newly released version, by the way (not the Ocean group's version). Personally, I think that it looks better with the white light instead of the yellow light. It makes the scene look much more dramatic, in my opinion. These aren't quite taken at the exact same moment (that would be pretty much impossible), but I think it's a fair comparison. One of my favorite scenes! Poor Piccolo-san. ;_;
I got Budoukai Tenkaichi 2 (I would have prefered to get Sparking NEO, but tragically, I don't own a Japanese PS2 >_<)! I really love it. ^^ You can switch to the Japanese voices! It really made my...year to not have to hear Stephanie Nadolny butcher Gohan-chan's voice. Not only that, but I had to do a fangirl giggle when I heard Furukawa Toshio's voice (Piccolo's seiyuu). He's too damn smexy. *_* I'm still depressed that they had women play Hawk's Eye (another role of Toshio's) in the Sailormoon musicals. ;_; It made me really sad! Ah well. At least Hikari-san played Hawkie. It made my day a little brighter. She's the only woman in Sera Myu that I can honestly say sounds exactly like a guy when she sings (definetely a tenor, but she's still good). ^___^
ANYWAY, back to the game! I really, really like it. I especially, as always, love the things the characters say to each other when they're about to fight (XD yes, this is the highlight of the game for me). I've come to the conclusion that Chibi Gohan says "onegai" too much though. XD I feel really fangirlish when I can quote the Japanese. I think I've got nearly all of Gohan's phrases down (in all his forms!). I've got a great majority of Mirai Trunks' down, too ("Anata wa...masaka! Gohan-san?!").
:P I'm going to scan doujinshi stuff in...somtime. Really! I will! I just ordered a bulk doujinshi set that was for sale at a cheap price at The Fluffy Shrimp (even better, the seller had a perfect feedback rating). It's *gasp* Piccolo Ball! As if I don't have enough Piccolo Ball doujinshi. XD What can I say? It's addictive! So much Gohan and Piccolo goodness! What's better is that it's such soft yaoi that if I scanned it, some people might not even consider it yaoi (honestly, I don't). Now, if you want kissing and all that stuff... *grabs Mama Papa* SO MUCH GOHANxPIKORO GOODNESS!!!! Anyway, for those who want a preview...
See? Gohan and Pikoro so can karaoke!
I'm always talking about this scene... ;_; It's so sad!!! Gohan-chan can't die!
BWAHA! MOP TOP SSJ!
Freeza, anyone?
Mirai Gohan and Piccolo have a moment.
Mirai Gohan and Piccolo both looking cool. ^_^
Another moment with Gohan and Piccolo!
As you can see, Gohan and Piccolo enjoy having their moments.
I imagine this could be classified as yaoi...but really Gohan's just feeding Piccolo-san a senzu. *sweat drops*
I really, really, really want to buy the doujinshi collection by ACT (you know, the one with Piccolo-san wearing jeans and cowboy boots *drools*). Maybe someday. *sparkly eyes*
Well, there went all the money I've earned lately. *needs to refrain from DBZ shopping sprees in the future*
Hm...I think that's all I have to say this time. I talk too much. Oh! Yes! One more thing!
HAPPY THANKSGIVING IF YOU LIVE IN THE U.S.! ALSO, THANKS FOR 350+ MEMBERS!
(Oh! Another thing! XD The counter is kind of...broken. I know I had somewhere around 450,000-500,000 hits when it broke...which was about a month ago. Does anyone know about any good counters? I'd really prefer a text counter. The image counters usually annoy me, unless they're super amazing. >_<)

11/02/06: Do I have an excuse for not updating? No, not really. I just haven't felt inspired. Pathetic, I know. Don't worry though, I haven't forgotten about Rice Boy (I NEVER COULD!). This isn't really an update, more of a shout out to notify you guys that I'm still alive and that some major updates are soon to come.I've already made the next layout. I hope you guys will like it! I'm just trying to code it so everyone will be able to view it correctly. It's being a bit mean to me for some reason. It's a super simple layout compaired to my usually style (it's iframe!), but I really like it. Despite it's simplicity, it did take me several hours to get it to where I liked it. *whipes forehead*
News, news... I bought the Son Gohan 2007 calender. ^^ It's so prettyful! The next layout actually features the picture of him from February (...and not just 'cause that's my birthday month...that's actually my favorite picture XD). I'm going to scan in some pictures for you sometime. It's really hard to fit the calender in my scanner, since it has rings at the top, so it might take a while. I bought the Piccolo calender too, so if you're lucky (lmao, joking) you'll get some scans from that also. If you haven't bought a calender yet...what are you waiting for!? Click here for the calender's page on CDJapan! There are also Goku, Vegeta, Trunks, Piccolo, Kame Sen'nin, and general series calenders if you're interested in them.
Sparking NEO is going to be released this month under the title of Budoukai Tenkaichi 2 in North America, so be looking for it! We can only hope that they'll have Japanese voices as an option. I would have bought the Japanese version, but tragically, I do not have a Japanese PS2...yet.
I think that's basically all that's happening right now in stuff you can buy. *scratches head* If I'm leaving something out, shout at me, all right?
AH! I never told you what happened at A-Kon! Dang, I'm an idiot.
A-Kon seemed slightly slower than last year. Of course, the guest singer, KOTOKO, wasn't nearly as popular as Dream, so that could be the reason. The first A-Kon I went to just so happened to have a mega-popular band come to it. *sweat drops* ANYHOW, the first event I went to was the "Anime Name That Tune." I was a bit angry, because I felt that the categories were a bit misleading. When they said that the first category was "new anime," I assumed they ment anime that had came out in the last six to seven years. Yet, somehow, Ranma 1/2 ended up in the mix of songs (Jajauma ni Sasenaide, it's first opening theme, to be presise). I didn't realize that a series created in 1987 was considered new. *sweat drops* May I ask why DBZ wasn't included in the new category, then? I played in the shoujo category and would have done good, I believe, had I not been sitting at the very corner of the room. XD I raised my hand for Peace of Love from Kamikaze Kaitou Jeanne before ANY of those other girls, I swear! At least five seconds before! The judges didn't notice me though, and called on another girl before me. ;_; It made me sad! That happened several times.
Then there was voice actor panells and stuff, bla bla bla. Nothing you care about. I didn't get to go into the fanart room, snice they wanted people to leave their belongings outside the door. Uh huh. Yeah. I'm really going to leave my purse, an expensive camera, and everything I bought in the dealer's room in front of a door where every single con-go-er can pick it up and claim it as there's. Yeah.
The dealer's room was awesome this year! I bought a lot of stuff. There was this stand that sold the Japanese manga, and I finally managed to buy a Japanese DBZ kanzenban! YAY! I bought Kanzenban #21, which takes place during the Freeza saga (it has Gohan, Kuririn, Piccolo, and Veggie-head's fight with Freeza...but the special part is that it has COLORED pages! YAY! Now Freeza can beat up on my Gohan-chan in color! XD). I also bought some Bishoujo Senshi Sailormoon manga, and some Full Moon wo Sagashite manga, but that's besides the point! We are on a shounen-related site, after all! I doubt you want to hear about my vast collection of shoujo. *cough*
Leaving out all the other stuff that's not related to DBZ, I bought several pencil boards, a doujinshi, some DVDs (that were literally $3 each!), a few action figures, a cute little Dragonball that has a suprise in it (I got a Porunga figure...yaaaay! ^___^), and some other random things. Oh! Yes! I nearly forgot! I bought a Piccolo keyring that's made out of metal! My mom really likes him, since she says that I can use him as a weapon if I'm ever attacked out on the streets! Not only that, but I also now have a companion for my Gohan keychain. YATTA!!!
Not many DBZ voice actors were at this con. There was Vic Mignogna, who played Broli, though he's more popular for his role as Edward Elric from Hagaren no Renkinjitsushi, so... I got his autograph though! He drew me a pretty picture of Ed, too! XD Sonny Strait, Kuririn's English voice actor, was there also. I got his autograph, of course. I didn't have a DBZ item with me at that moment (;_;), so he signed my Ranma 1/2 poster. He drew dots on panda Genma's head and wrote to the side, "Krillin was here." XD It's amusing. I have the poster up in my bed room. ^^ I also felt really smart when I was at the con (yes! smartness!). This lady came up to me while I was in line for Sonny Strait's autograph and asked me if I knew where she could find something DBZ related, since her son really liked the series. So, I was like, "Lady, you've come to the right girl!" I told her that I was waiting in line for Sonny Strait, Kuririn's voice actor's autograph. Since the line was so short, she decided to join in the line. ^_^ It was cool.
The con would have been perfect...had tragedy not struck (it always does o_o). For, right before the con, my wisdom teeth decided to stop being so wise and left me in utter pain through a majority of the con. SO, the night before the con, my teeth hurt so much that my mom took me to the ER at Baylor. The doctor had no idea what to do, since he was not a dentist, so he gave me some penicillin and loratab and said, "Here you go, little missy. Take this and the pain will go away. Then you'll just be sleeping all day, act zany, and feel like puking all the time." (Well, not really, but that's honestly what I felt like >_<) After the con, I got to happily come home to laying myself down on a bed, getting put out, having my gums toar open, getting teeth extracted, going home to go to sleep since I was still pretty drugged up from the anestesia, sleeping some more and still acting druggy because of the loratab, and then eventually getting better and not acting like a drug addict. YAY!
Anyhow, every one of you reading this needs to go to A-Kon 18. Why? Why must you all go to A-Kon 18? Why, Kyle Herbert's going to be there again (*dies*). If you don't know who Kyle Herbert is, why...shame on you! Even if you were a sub junkie to begin with (admittedly, I started off watching the dub and continued watching the dub for several years...until I bought that Jinzouningen arc DVD and realized you could switch to Japanese. *gasp* Then I heard Nozawa Masako's voice and well, I was hooked), you should most definetely know Mr. Herbert! He's only the best and one of the only good voice actors at Funimation! Yes, my friends, he's the voice actor of teenage and adult Gohan. *_* He's the nicest guy ever (as if you haven't heard this from me before). I met him at A-Kon 16, my first con. I didn't know that there were autograph times and that I was supposed to wait in those long lines, so I just walked up to Kyle Herbert and was like, "Would you sign my shirt?" You see, I also didn't know that you were supposed to buy something and have him sign it. ANYHOW, he was nice enough to sign it and not act like he thought I was an idiot. He even signed Gohan-chan's arm! It made me happy! I haven't worn that shirt since, in fear that the marker will come off. XD I'm such a fangirl.
*random* I really want to cosplay Sera Myu (the Sailormoon musicals) at the next A-Kon, but, of course, I know no one else in my area who's into Sera Myu. *growls* If only I could find someone to play Uranus! Then I could succesfully do Harsh! Saint Cry ~Re-Arranged~! *sigh* *has already decided that I'm going to go as Sera Myu Sailorneptune to A-Kon 18* Lmao, so if you're in Kansas somewhere and want to be Sailoruranus for A-Kon... I'm such a dork, aren't I?
I've taken a lot of screencaps since the last update. A lot. A lot, a lot, a lot. They'll come up with the next update, as will the "Ask Gohan" responses. x_x;; I have too much to do. I feel busier now that I'm taking school online (*brings out knife* it's not home schooling, dernit! if I was forced to have my dad teach me something, we would have both jumped off a cliff by now (neither one of us have very much patience with each other *sweat drops*)) than when I was in regular school! *dies*
|
I've updated the Ask Chibi Gohan and Ask Teen Gohan pages with a lot of questions. I hope I didn't miss any!
A screencap update WILL be coming soon, I promise! I've taken screencaps for almost all of the Perfect Seru saga. There's only about three episodes left that I need screencaps for. I'll post the file with all the screencaps once I finish with those three episodes.
300 MEMBERS!!!! Thanks so much, guys! There's also another milestone that passed a couple of days ago. I feel guilty that I didn't update on that day. I was thinking about it for most of the day, too, but I had a lot of homework that night, so... ;_;
HAPPY 2ND BIRTHDAY, RICE BOY, AS OF MAY 8TH!!! Although it wasn't shrine-ified until August of 2004, Rice Boy, formally 'Simply Rice,' has been the TAFL approved fanlisting for Son Gohan for two years now. 300+ members in only two years! Will that mean we'll have 600 members in another two years? *prods all the people who haven't joined*
I've reopened the Dragonball Icontest at Livejournal for all that care. I'm hoping people will participate again!
Oh, and if you like making Kikyou (Inuyasha character) icons, make sure to participate at my other icontest that I just revived, Kikyou Stills! XD
In other "news," I was approved for the Pikoro (Piccolo) fanlisting today! Be expecting it up sometime in the next couple of weeks! Piccy-chan will get his fanlisting shrine-ified as well! (Maybe I should name it Green Boy... Joking, joking. XD)
Oh, oh! Kuririn's English voice actor is coming to A-Kon this year! FINALLY a DBZ voice actor has signed up! I was beginning to think it was hopeless!
I PROMISE I'll update again sometime this month! PROMISE!
|
|
3/07/06: I added a new page...the wall of shame. *winces* I hated to do that.I've also updated the ask chibi Gohan and ask teen Gohan pages. Again, PLEASE use as good of grammar as you POSSIBLY can. It makes my life a lot easier.
Finally a DBZ voice actor has signed up to guest at A-Kon 17. Sean Teague is his name...and frankly, he's done such minor roles, that you probably wouldn't even remember them (Villager B in movie 10, Moah in movie 8, and, my personal favorite, "Boy in Yellow" from the GT special...do any of them ring a bell...? XD). I hope they'll all sign up at the last minute. Last year, there were a lot of DBZ voice actors (more than Full Metal Alchemist, even!).
Be expecting a new layout soon, since Valentine's Day is over.
|
Obviously, there's a new layout. It's for the Valentine's Day layout marathon. As usual, I waited until the last minute to get my layout up. I got it up only a little under three hours before it's due to be up. *sweat drops* I'm such a procrastinator. I've had a lot of stuff going on offline, so I haven't really had time. Let's just put it this way: tests, homework, bitchy classmates. ^_^;;
Ask Chibi Gohan and Ask Teen Gohan have been updated. I didn't add a few questions simply because they were already asked, had nothing to do with Son Gohan, had sexual content, etc. etc. etc. Then there's the *dum dum dum* impossible to understand questions. I guess I'm going to have to remind everyone who asks questions on that page this: USE AS GOOD OF ENGLISH GRAMMAR AS YOU CAN!! No, I'm not trying to be harsh. It's just that I get a lot of questions, and it's an extreme pain to have to correct all sorts of grammar on them. I'd prefer to not make the question pages a place for me to work on my skills at noticing grammar errors. -_-;; That's meant for school, not websites. Some people might think, "oh, it's only one email that'll be written in web speak." Oh no, it's not just one email. If one person uses grammar like "do u h8 _____," the next person is bound to do it, too. By the time I get Gohan-chan to respond to all the questions, I've got what seems like dozens of emails in my inbox. ANSWERING the questions is a task in itself. I'd prefer not to add to that. I hope you understand how I feel. I'm not trying to whine or anything. I wouldn't have opened those pages had I not been ready for a lot of questions, since I know that Rice Boy has been getting quite a few more hits than it did say...a year ago.
So far no DBZ voice actors have said that they'll appear at A-Kon, according to A-Kon's website. I'm really hoping a bunch will come to this year's A-Kon like they did last year. Nearly all the voice actors that showed up last year had worked on DBZ at some point. I really hope Kyle Herbert (teen Gohan's English voice actor) comes back this year! If you've been visiting Rice Boy for a while, I'm sure you've heard my story about how nice the guy is. *_* He signed my DBZ shirt (which, might I add, I haven't worn since, considering that the ink might rub off in the washer *shudders*) and let me cut through the line!
Happy Valentine's Day! (*coughacertainsomeone'sfifteenthbirthdayiscominguponthe19th,notthatyoucarecough*)

12/27/05: I update the Ask Chibi Gohan and Ask Teen Gohan pages. I also added the (which isn't complete) Tenkaichi Budoukai saga gallery. Also, I've opened another Dragonball shrine: Seigi no Bishoujo. It's a shrine to Videl. Visit it, okay...? XD If anyone owns any Dragonball-related shrine *prods affiliates* I'd be happy to affiliate SNB with it.

I also converted the fanlisting to Enthusiast. As some may have noticed, people were unable to join the fanlisting during the past two weeks. That's because my (idiotic) host turned off the register globals. I've officially sent in the request for a domain transfer to Surpass Hosting, so by the end of the week, this domain will have a new host. Be expecting some downtime.
Happy whatever-you-celebrate! XD

I've also added an interactive page: Find the Pixels. XD It shouldn't be too hard. It's an easy-to-win award.
I went to the Japanese Dragonball Z site yesterday. x____x I really want to buy the 2006 calendar, but I already spent my monthly online spendings this month on eBay AND I can't buy anything in December because I've got to save up for Christmas (even though it's just my mom and I, I like to get her a really good present. This is our first year without my grandma, too, so...). XP Hopefully it'll still be for sale in January. XP Dang dollar! It's got such little value! 2,100 yen (the cost of the calendar) is $18 US dollars. Then again, the Dragon Box (contains all the Dragonball movies) is 52,500 yen ($438.78 US dollars). T_T
EDIT: I've added a new section at the Other section.
