To the Haters

What's this page about? Basically, all I'm doing is giving my input on reasons why people hate Gohan. If you have a reason why you hate Gohan, email it to me and I'll respond to you here.

He whines all the time!
Yes, he did whine during the Saiyajin saga. Would you mind giving me an event where he whined after that? Throughout most of the series, he was a CHILD! A CHILD! Children have the right to whine. After the Saiyajin saga, Gohan actually took a lot pain (emotionally and physically) without saying anything. He was grieving for his father in the Cell Games saga, so don't even go there.

He just stood there while his friends were getting beaten up by the Cell Jrs.!
Hmm...that's funny. As I recall, Cell was preventing him from helping them in order to get him angry. -_-;;

He got all cocky in the Cell Games saga and Goku died because of it!
For one, Cell killed Goku. Cell was the one trying to blow up the planet. Goku was the one who decided to transport him away and sacrafise his life. It wasn't Gohan's decision for Cell to try to blow up the planet, nor his idea for Goku to sacrafise himself. Yes, Gohan did get cocky, but after what Cell did to his friends and Juurokugou, you can't really blame him. Not only that, but people make MISTAKES! He was a child, too! That means he was still LEARNING.

Goku told Gohan to leave during the fight with Freeza, but he came back anyway!
Let me remind you that Goku's ki had vanished, Freeza had a grudge against all people of saiyajin blood, and that he probably would have tried to make the race totally extint by following Gohan to Earth. Gohan only went back because he didn't want Freeza to show up on Earth. It's one thing to follow your parents' orders, but if the world is on the line...

When Pikoro was injured during the Imperfect Cell saga, Gohan didn't listen to Goku and tried to rush off to help him.
If your best friend/mentor/second father was being killed, would you just sit and smile? It's not like Gohan's disobediant, he just cares a lot for his friends.

He got Pikoro and Goku killed, and Kuririn injured dozens of times!
Again, he was a child. People make mistakes, and Gohan regretted his inability to protect his friends and family. It was that anger towards himself that helped him transform into a super saiyajin.

His name means "rice!"
My name is a stone and a color (Amber). Every name has some meaning to it. Do you hate everyone who's name translates to something? *rolls eyes*

He has an annoying voice!
You must be talking about Stephanie Nadolny (child Gohan's English voice actress). I hate her voice, too. That's why I watch the series in Japanese. >_>

His Saiyaman poses suck!
You're a pretty hateful person if you judge a person by something like that. Saiyaman was made to poke fun at Bishoujo Senshi Sailormoon, not Ginyu's team.

He gets all of his outfit ideas from other people!
I take it you mean his gis. He often wore Goku or Pikoro's clothing to show his respect towards them. I really don't see why you'd hate him for something like that. *sigh*

He ABUSES his power! He only uses it during battles!
He hates fighting. He was FORCED into battles. I'm sure there's something you're good at that you don't like very much, too. Maybe you should hate yourself for it, huh?

He's a trouble maker!
*looks around to fellow Gohan fans* *breaks out laughing* Do I really have to answer that? That's possibly one of the most pathetic reasons I've ever heard. I can't even answer that because it's so unspecific. HOW is he a trouble maker?

He married that b*tch Videl!
So? It's your opinion if you hate Videl. Really, she only appeared for less than a third of the series. If you hate him for giving her attention for about fifty episodes, then I guess you hold grudges over small things.

He's a momma's boy!
Wow. Woop-dee-doo. Another pathetic reason. I know a lot of guys who are momma's boys. Momma's boys are actually nicer than the boys who completely ignore their mothers, in my opinion.

He's a nerd!
I'm guessing that you hate your doctor then? Oh! You must hate the person who helped deliver you into this world, too! They all had to study a lot! Wait...you must hate everyone who has a carrier that's saving your butt, because most of them had to study a lot! Tsk tsk tsk!

You're stupid!
That has nothing to do with Gohan. :) I could care less about what you think about me. After all, YOU'RE the one visiting a SHRINE to a character you hate.
